Sounds about right to me, unless you are fishing for crappie... Lee, great advise on the electronics, delighted with the Lowrance I'm now running.. the interpertation learning curve is steep, however..

Medium Heavy, 7 foot like lee said, It doesnt really matter what brand just so long as they can bend it up under the boat without it breaking. I still have 7 foot shakespeare rods that I fish with that cost 20 dollars 15 years ago that work just fine.

I was going to come down today and fish but I had to get the smoker going and smoke some trout and sausage. hhmmmmmm, might be nice to have a signature smoked stripe and some country sausage at a shop with steak and seafood. I'll be there Sunday and Monday - fishing. I had a guy come by the facebook group page asking about your bait. Go to facebook and keep an eye on it. lake martin striped bass anglers is the group. I know you're an old guy so maybe you should get Kyle to handle it.
