We have a rather large floating dock that floated into our cove this morning. If you are missing one, you can email at edarfields@bellsouth.net and we will give you directions on how to come get your dock.

Did the Dock have any bumpers on it? If so, what size are they. That information may give a clue as to who it belongs too.

If you are not careful where it goes - that can happen. Especially if the bumpers involved are not titled to your dock.

You are correct FEB, I'm bored. I can't believe noone replied the way I did all afternoon. I just been sitting and watching. I'd hate to loose my dock and bumpers also. I can see it get lost if you did not keep it all at home. Ya think some of the oil on the bumpers let it "slip" away?

....long ago I bought an oyster knife (I used to enjoy eating them raw but now am health conscious). I carved my name on it so that it would not be lost. As it turns out, I did indded loose it even with my name on it. So now I do not write my name on anything I own because if it gets lost, I'll loose my name too. :)

LakePlumber... You should have put a "Homingdevice" on it. But sometimes you just have to say.......WTH.
ps. Did you oil the knife????
|
I've never even considered carving my name into my dock....

Knifes and docks... Seems as though I read something about that long ago when I was younger. Bobbit comes to mind. That dock gofish found may have gotten 'cut loose". LMAO

If your dock broke loose and drifted into someone else's cove, would you really want your name carved into it. It seems to me like you would want to remain anonymous.

AS much as these docks are straying this year, I certainly hope they are 'protected'. If mine got caught in another slough, I might as well leave it there becasue it would be no good to me at home anymore.

If your dock went into somebody else's slough, then I am sure nobody would ever want to venture into that slough again.
As heard your dock is old and contains contamination of some sorts.

And worn out too. You see in it's youth it had many a young lady that enjoyed boucning up and down on it. Some would jump on, and then off, and then back on again. Some would come and play on it for the entire weekened, climbing on it repeatedely, screaming out thier pleasure. But alas, it is old now and mostly just hangs around thinking of its glory days...lol.
