Subject:	What is Obama's Plan?

Can someone help me out here. One thing we heard over and over last night was about Obama's "Plan". I have seen his plan. I only know about HR3200 and the various other proposals floating around Congress but according to what I have read in these bills and what has been written about them they don't come close to matching what he said was in his "Plan" last night. It is no wonder you heard laughter from the chamber when he mentioned some details need to be ironed out. As best I can tell there are no details because there is no plan.

Can anyone point me to his legislation or was he really talking about the current proposals in Congress? If it is the latter, then he told several very big, readily debunked lies last night (I'm sorry, to be fair he read several big lies on the teleprompter). Maybe I am missing something but I don't think so.

-MM, you're not usually so foggy thinking. His healthcare plan is very clear.
-At least his health care plan is clear to me; his plan IS HR3200, ..or at least it WAS up till mid-August. Why do I say that? I say it because he wanted the bill out of teh House and teh Senate before teh August break ANd he was ready to sign whatever came out of that process. The only thing that came close to coming out of that process was 3200. It was clear that the Democratic leadership wanted HR3200 to be cleared out of teh House before the recess, approved by the Senate as close as possible to HR3200, and teh President was clearly ready to sign it buy his own statements.
-I am at a loss to understand why that was not brought up in teh rebuttle last night or the discussions today. His speech last night was an addmission that what he proposed last night was better than the proposed HR3200 that he was ready to sign over the August break. In other words he admitted last night that he would "have acted stupedly" by signing the healthcare bill that would have come to his desk in August.

Yankee: I am actually not foggy on this and I was being more than a little sarcastic. My obscure point is that much of what Obama said constituted his "plan" bore little resemblance to what is in HR3200. So he either lied repeatedly in his speech or he has another plan. The two cannot be reconciled. I actually believe it is the former rather than the latter.
