Can anyone recommend a good plumber in the area. I think I have a leak betwen the house and the septictank so it may be a major project.

It would be unusual for any leak between the house and tank to expose itself above ground unless there is a stoppage of some kind which would result in a backup into the house ,, or,, the waste is pumped and the discharge line from the house has broken.

Does your waste pipe gravity drain or is the waste pumped to the tank?

If you gravity drain, I would suspect a septic tank or field line problem more than a plumbing problem.

Thank you both, It is a gravity line that is expos uner the house and there is an odor. A piece of the soil pipe was replace with PVC by a non plumber and appears to have a leak..
