Governor Perdue has requested that Georgia's P-12 schools close Monday & Tuesday to conserve fuel due to Hurricane Rita's possible impact on the gulf oil fields. I hope he knows what he is doing as long lines are forming at gas stations. What is happening in Alabama?

The pipeline is closed. Period. There is no more diesel fuel. Probably for 2 or more days. Grocery stores have generally 3 day's supplies. Don't want to be an alarmist but I would gas up, food up and if you have any pharmacy needs get it done... Not the end of the world but I would take precautions...
