I just caught my limit of crappie, bass, catfish, & stripes all within a 10 minute time frame. I also caught 15 trout, 2 walleyes, and 4 groupers. Since nobody reads this anyway, I thought I would exagerate a little - I really only caught 3 groupers.

Congrats on the groupers. I read the fishing forum but no one on here much. Wished I had some good input but you have to be there to have some. I have been real disappointed with the fishing at LM. Coverd the fishing boat, put the pontoon in storage, locked up my mobile home and went to the house to wait for another day. Thought about buying a house and living there in a couple of years but now we are having second thoughts about it. Watch out for the barracudas.

I know what you mean. I was there this weekend but didn't fish. I talked to the guys at the marina & was told only a few boats came in with anything at all, but 2 boats did come in with 8 bass each Saturday morning about 10:00. I pulled my fishing boat home last weekend to replace the running seats. Everyone says the next 6 or 8 weeks are really prime fishing. I'm afraid that LM is pretty well fished out, but I'm going to try again next weekend. I'll let you know if I do any good.

Guys, don't get discouraged, some of the biggest fish in the state have come out of this lake. I fish this lake, Martin, Smith, Inland, Lay, and Weiss and they are all suffering. It will pick up. When the temp cools some the fish will pick up. With the water being so low and the temps so hot, the fish slowed down. I had trouble this summer catching small cats which on this lake is really easy to do.
