Thursday I recovered a floating dock (roughly 15 X 15) and a pedal boat in Kowaliga Bay. Both were adrift straight out from Anchor Bay. If you are missing either one email me to identify them. Given the recent winds they could've come from any of the sloughs from Kowaliga bridge to the Sailboat club.

FYI, boats and piers breaking free from shore has been more of a problem this year than in years past. If a boat floats up to your house, chances are it belongs to someone nearby. Secure it, write down the registration number, and call our office at (256) 329-2268 or 1-800-432-7389. If no one answers, leave a message with the registration number, the location of the boat, and your contact info. We will attempt to locate the owner and reunite them with their lost boat.

Thanks.

Thanks for the job you guys are doing. Know you are understaffed on Lake Martin. Any future posts on this site that would help ensure safety would be seen by many, appreciated by most. Maybe we can help.

I saw the pedal boat when it was drifting from the Tecumseh Point area headed toward the Anchor Bay Castaway area. All my boats were still dry docked so I could not retrieve it.

The large tree (roots on one end and limbs on the other) that was spotted last week or so coming around Real Island toward Little Steel Bridge made it into the my slough Sunday morning. I looked up and it is huge! We are at the back of the slough so I thought we might end up with it but it took a right turn about halfway down the slough and ended up against someone's dock or beach? Didn't have the boat in to go check and see. Hope it didn't damage anything.
