I watched Tim Scott's presedential launch today. It looks like he will try to take a page from Obama on hope and change. HIs personal story is compelling. While it was nice to see a politician show a positive attitude for a change, I don't know that he has much of a chance, without a significant change in the line up. But his pep rally style was a nice change from the non-stop doom and gloom about the debt ceiling.

I wonder how the Trump base would accept a Trump-Scott ticket?

If it could win, I would be very happy with it.

My first take as well. I don't think many of them are really running for President. They know they can't beat Trump or DeSantis so they are all running for VP. That's why you will either see them going out of their way not to attack Trump or openly helping him by trying to take down DeSantis. I like Tim Scott but he would not be my first choice for VP with either Trump or DeSantis. A compelling story does not give him executive experience. And if we learned anything from Obama and Biden, former Senators make lousy Presidents.
If the GOP thinks he can attract black votes they are once again deluding themselves. It will take more than the color of his skin to get them off the Dem party plantation. Same goes with choosing a woman. Don't care who she is, but suburban women are not going to vote for Trump just because of the gender or sex (or whatever they call it these days) of his VP.

Meh....DeSantis will never tie himself to Trump because while he might have something to gain if he does and Trump wins (VPotus) he has a whole lot more to lose. Pence is done....kaput....finis. Christie maybe, but probably not for either Trump or DeSantis. So I don't think that is the angle of any of those three. But as the old saying goes.....time will tell. Suffice it to say that 2024 is going to be a wild ride. Will be interesting to see if Kennedy can force Biden into a real primary contest. The DNC will wisely do everything in their power to prevent that from happening. He is already polling at 20% and has zero support by the party apparatchik or the govt media complex.

I was referring to the three as running against Trump. The three would not be VP candidates.

Oh, got it. None of them has even the slightest chance. But they will separate some gullible people from their hard earned dough.
