I just used my info available to everyone to check Jan 24 rates with Jan 22 rates based on $$ and kWh.  Jan 22 cost was 12.9.  Jan 24 is 16.5.  That is a 27.9% increase....APC must love Biden!  BTW, that is the increase over the year....increases came thru out the year...Dec 23 is identical to Jan 24.

I did a comparison and this is how mine goes:  2 months of a Normal bill (approx 250-300) and then a $500 bill.  I'm not on any kind of budget program, but when I pulled up the payment for the year, that pattern held.  So, perhaps they are guessing for 2 month and then adjusting in the 3rd month?

Alabamapower.com has a link that will publish each day's usage in kWh and/or $$$ on a daily basis.  I suggest everyone check your account regularly.  Especially great for weekenders to check to make sure things are running as they should.....a/c, heat, water heater, etc......no usage...no power.  Excessive usage...a/c problem...   BTW, APC has just introduced an app for your use, in app stores.
