While their politicisans may be so pleased that the crooked judge put a big penalty on Trump, it just goes to show that they stil have no grasp on business or economics. How many companies do they think are going to rush to invest in NYC, after seeing what they did to Trump?
They were all happy when Trump was helping them build the NYC skyline with luxury and expensive buildings. No one had a problem with his business practices then. He didn't break the law, he did what most business people do. The banks were happy and honored to do business with him. The loans were repaid. But along comes the Biden WH, that is terrified of Trump after all their failures, and a couple of crooked lawyers and a judge and suddenly - he ripped off NYC.
NYC is in a very bad way. They have this enormous migrant problem, they are raising the tax assessments on a lot of commerical real estate, they have only 52% of their office space occupied to try to pay for this migrant mess. People are not going to want to take their tourist dollars to NYC, when you have gangs of migrants hitting people, stealing from people, and violence (not to mention poop on the streets and a bunch of migrants sleeping on the streets and sitting around on the streets. Commerical businesses are not going to want to have a presence in NYC. I foresee a really hard time in NYC.

Just saw an interview with a big investor in data centers and he said NY would be an ideal place to build due to the power needs of data centers and electricity generated by Niagra Falls but he said because of this judgement he is going to Oklahoma and other states. He said every single developer puts forward the highest possible valuation of their holdings, banks do their due diligence, and are very good at it, and make their own decision about how much to loan. He said NY is already a mess due to high taxes and regulations but this was the last straw for him.
If this doesn't get bounced on appeal it will be a travesty and every developer that has ever borrowed money in NY should likewise be investigated and if they overstated their holdings, which they all did, they must be charged and fined. Otherwise, that proves with 100% certainty that this was a hoax case aimed solely to harm Trump and interfere in the election by a Soros-bought DA and an insane judge. But we already knew all that, amiright? And we all know it will never happen and so do the developers admitting they overstate property values. SMH

not so much this issue - but long term NY issues / anti-business / anti-firearm. Moving after 200 years because of NY politics.
