How long are individual posts stored on this forum?? If the posts are discarded after a certain length of time, or page number, what is the limit? Is there a relatively easy way to sort and store individual posts before they are discarded?
The reason I ask is that I want to be able to compare Forum Members' feelings about the political/economic climate in 2008 versus what it will be 2 or 3 years out. Say, 2011?
Once again, thanks for a very active site.

I don't have any policy to archive at the moment. Unless there is some performance reason it won't be necessary. The oldest posts I have in the database date November 2000 so it's been going 8 years. There was a forum prior to that date but it was on a different database and I did not know how to migrate the data at that time.
It appears there are 10 pages available (at the bottom of the thread list page), but that is only a paging limit to keep memory usage reasonable. Searching and finding posts through the member profile page will display everything.
Rest assured that if I have to archive, I won't delete data permanently. Then you'll be able to do your research.
I suppose you expect in four years, water_watcher will vote Democrat and GF and Tullahound will vote Republican? LOL
Thanks

I was thinking the same about the archieve!!!!! Bruce go to this post on Nov 21 from me titled Don't Blame This On Barney. Notice there is an URL. Then hit View Entire Thread and watch what happens to the URL.

Ah... I see what caused the link to disappear. I did not include logic to display the link if the URL Title was omitted on that page. It's fixed now. If a URL Title is not entered, then it will display the URL.
