It certainly did not sound like a state of the union.
He should have been proposing some of the things he did on jobs and tax credits a year ago before unemployment got to over 10% ... and we all know it is really around 17%
He is still blaming Bush (take responsibility already) ... he is still trying to justify his wasteful $800 billion stimulus that is a miserable failure. While some of his proposals I heard last night I agree with .... why did he not listen to more experience people a year ago? Instead he sees himself going down in flames and taking his party with him and now decides he will start talking like a moderate and consider programs that have a chance of working.

Sure sounded a lot like it to me.............that was rich how he broke long standing protocol and bashed the Supreme Court (Third Branch of Gov't actually called for in our Constitution) for their corporate campaign contribution ruling last week, a practice that his campaign perfected by using untraceable credit card contributions from domestic and foreign sources! As my late old farmer grandfather would say....... 'that was richer than 12 inches up a bulls arse'.

A couple of observations, he used the term I over 100 times in that speech proving once again he is the narcissist in chief. Secondly, he lied about the facts and meaning of the Supreme Court decision and it shows that they have more class than he does when they didn't jump up and shout "You lie!" Finally, he may in fact turn out to be my favorite President because he is going to cause a resurgence of conservatism like you have never seen since Jimmy Peanut Brain Carter.

Two observations. One, Obama was looking left at the Republican side of the aisle for at least 70% of his speech. Why, when he is trying to rally Demo support?
Two. He was looking right, at Demo side of the aisle, when he accused them of "Running for the Hills" at a time of difficulty. Why, when he is trying to rally Demo support.
He is not quitting. Nope, he's gonna' charge that worthless hill regardless of the casualties.
