Too fast on the enter key.

Just received my response from FEMA after sending them a copy of the survey results that showed my house was not even close to being in the flood plan. They tell me that I must go by the Probate Judge's office, get an official copy of my deed, and send them a copy of my deed. One of the documents that I sent them had a description of the property.

This is absolutely ridiculous. The document showed them that the dwelling in question was not even close to the 526 level. I suspect that this is a delay tactic to keep money flowing to FEMA to refill their coffers.

My wife got us taken out in 2006. I think the process varies a bit depending on which county you are in (we are in Winston). Process took about 3 months total.
