While in Florida at the Cape and probably after his statement "we'll land on an asteroid", our illustrious leader makes fun of citizens of this country who oppose his policies.

President Barack Obama said Thursday he's amused by the anti-tax tea party protests that have been taking place around Tax Day.

Obama told a fundraiser in Miami that he's cut taxes, contrary to the claims of protesters.

"You would think they'd be saying thank you," he said.

Oh! He's cut taxes? Not exactly so. He's raised taxes on industry and commerce and the "rich" (a number which gets closer to the middle class with each breath of The Pretender). No... the poor are not paying more taxes - they are paying more for goods and services.

Which isn't exactly accurate either. The middle class/labor class and rich are subsidizing the indolent and indigent such that they pay more of our money for goods and services.

the guy is just a dope. the GS charges 3 years after the fact is also politically motivated as well ... he can not stand that wall street is coming back and the investment banks are making money again.

what he forgets is almost every american owns stock, even if it is just through their retirement ... and when the market does well people start spending money again which helps the economy and puts people back to work.

the SEC lost the Bear Sterns case, they screwed up and overlooked to Ponzi schemes ... now they charge GS for selling assets to "educated" investors that have to sign an SEC form that they understand this is a high risk and highly speculative investment.

I do not blame them for fighting ... my bets are they will win.

The GS issue is not something that an investor would be aware of when they signed the form. GS created and sold collateralized debt obligations tied to subprime mortgages in 2007 without disclosing that hedge fund Paulson & Co. helped pick underlying securities and bet against the vehicles. Your GS stock dropped 13% today as a result.
