Gadsden attorney Frank Bailey and an assistant district attorney, Frank Sherman Teel from Coosa County, were booked in at the Etowah County jail Wednesday night. Teel and Bailey are accused of extorting $1 million dollars out of someone in exchange for settling a lawsuit. Teel and Bailey picked up a $1 million dollar check last night and were promptly arrested. Bond for each has been set at $2,500 for the bribery of public servant and second-degree extortion charges and $5,000 for the use of position for personal gain charge. Bailey also is charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, a misdemeanour, and a $1,000 bond is set. Anyone from Coosa County know more about these men?
