Subject:   So much for civility-Greece comes to Wisconsin

Watching the pathetic Greek-like protests in Wisconsin makes me wonder what happened to the left's maniacal desire for civility after the Arizona shootings.  Pictures of the governor with photos of Mubarak and Hitler, pictures of the governor with crosshairs over his face, the speaker of the House and his family forced from their homes out of fear of violence from the union thugs, etc.  All this in response to an attempt at fiscal sanity.

Gee, I wonder when the government media will place the blame on Obama or the DNC for this lack of civility?  Especially since they are instructing the union thugs to "fight" against this proposal.  BTW, rhetorical question.......I already know the answer and it is never.

I had predicted, on this forum, that this civil unrest would happen first in Illinois.  I was wrong about that.

It won’t do any good for the folks in Illinois to protest… or even riot… there isn’t any money.  Their “relief” will have to come from the federal government in the form of a bailout.  That’s right; the taxpayers of the other states will fund redress for the excesses of government/union deals and under-the-table cronyism.

If you will notice, it is primarily pensioners, union members, and public service employees who are protesting.  The state made promises they couldn’t keep.  (About this time, the terms “Social Security” and “Medicare” might be popping into your mind.)  Now, the baby boomer bill is come due and… and, there is not enough money to make good on the promises.

“…pensioners, union members, and public service employees.”  That does sound like Greece and France and Ireland.

This is what happens when the cost of government overwhelms the ability of the productive economy to pay for those costs.  The cost of putting off painful solutions is the difference between “protests” and “riots.”

“Pay me now… or pay me later.”
