I just read that if there is a shut down, it is unlikely the non-essentials will be paid for their extra vacation time. Back in 95/96 the budget crisis was not as bad as what Obama and the dems created this time ... so considering the need for cuts, if the dems will not agree to them, then let the shut down last as long as the dems want to hold out, and the non-essentials can look for work elsewhere if they need a pay check. Let them go experience the real world and lets not rehire 30% or more on the backs of tax payers.

there is no shut down. But as expected, Obama and Reid cave ... now we get to hear all the dems whining and how the modest cuts are so bad. Give me a break. We need much, much deeper cuts.
