Already?!? That is a wow. I haven't been tracking it closely but that is a big number this early in the drawdown season. Makes me wish FERC would approve the APC variance request so Martin can stay at 483. Sadly, last year they made the same request in November and didn't get approval until January. They acknowledge that La Nina is continuing and they need the extra water in the lake. Lets hope it doesn't take until January again this year.

You are so busy bashing Obama, you are missed the real important news on the lake level.

And you are so free of time on the Off-Topics Forum.....because you have yet to spend any time at all defending your sacred Messiah, that you have time to bash MM here.

Last time I was on the APC website it still had the request in but no approval. Great news indeed.

Well bashing Oblamer is more of a full time hobby while watching the lake level is just part time. Besides, the former is trying to destroy our country while the latter is merely an inconvenience and an irritant but not the end of the world. I think I have my priorities in order......

We just returned from a conference with Georgia river folks, and it seems the GA governor is refusing to declare a drought in the state since it will invoke some undesirable restrictions.  Lake Lanier is over 13 feet down and has been heading south since June with no bottom in sight.  Water tables in south Georgia are headed toward record lows.
Be glad the Corps doesn't run this lake.

I had a place on Lanier for 12 years and I can tell you the lake level has little to do with rainfall...within limits of course. The poor Corps is pulled between way to many demands and political influences. It's gotten steadily worse in the last 25 years and I hope that won't happen here as we grow. Thanks and kudos to you that are actively protecting our interests.
