“Air Force Base Takes Down Nativity Scene Following Complaint” and “Paul Loebe, spokesman for the (Military Religious Freedom) foundation, said the Nativity scene was in violation of the Constitution.” [CBS Charlotte, 10DEC13] - - Article the third [Amendment I] Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. [The Constitution, 1787] - - Question 1 - What part of the 1st Amendment does erecting the Nativity scene violate? - - Question 2 - What part of the 1st Amendment does removal of the Nativity scene violate? - - Question 3 - When did Congress make a law establishing Christianity as a religion? - - Question 4 - Did the Air Force (as an indirect representative of Congress) erect the Nativity scene?

This is pure evil at work here.  Having a nativity scene in no way results in the establishment of a state religion, one of the main concerns of the Founders.  However, banning said display does violate the free exercise clause.  If you want to get a sense of what is going on read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis or the more modern version, The Snakebite Letters by Peter Kreeft.  The Lewis version was written in the 1930s or 40s and some of the references are dated.  Kreeft's version is more in line with the current methods of the atheists and secularists.
