I have been told that some residents have recieved notice from ALPower that they plan to drop the lake another 15 feet this winter to allow for work on the boat ramps at Smith Lake Park. That would put the low point around the 485' mark.
I havent see nanything official on that myself, but its what I have heard from two different places now.
