Thought some of you might like to read this. It is fromthe Talledega Daily Home. You guys remember the good ole fight about it from a while back I am sure. But I must say that Carol Pappas seems to have softened her liberal stance of late. Declining circulation numbers can work miracles it seems........

BTW.... it is about new shoreline regulatons.

Everything I've read by Atchison/Pappas is written with an agenda. While this particular article appears to be factual, I'll betcha' there's a slam to APC coming. Probably they got their hands on a draft proposal of regs, and they want to embarrass APC and alert developers to the proposals.

“Alabama Power Company reserves the right to make exceptions and modifications to these guidelines at any time and at its sole discretion,” both guidelines state.
As far as I am concerned the above is the only important part of the guidelines. The shoreline management people in Dadeville permit what they want regardless of the guidelines.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the call we got from a contractor who is "interested in our property" as well as the one next door. We have 200' of shoreline and our neighbor has 50' of shoreline. Together, we have about 1.5 acres of gently sloping land, all at the dead end of a road. A developer's dream?
