We had dinner Saturday evening at Heaven Scent Barbeque on route 280. The food was absolutely delicious, the place immaculate (with a posted rating of 100%). The restaurant seems so out-of-the-way, but it really is worth the short drive out of Dadeville. The rib platter was huge and very, very tasty. (By the way, I don't know the owners or anyone that works there. I'm just giving a "hot tip").

From Rt. 49, turn on E. South Street in Dadeville. Drive past Lakeshore Pharmacy, Dadeville High School, and the hospital. Continue until you reach 280. Heaven Scent Barbeque is in the "struggling" shopping strip almost directly across from where E. South Street meets 280. Truly worth trying, if only for lunch!

Sloss Furnace in Birmingham is holding their annual charity fundraiser. "Stokin the Fire" Kansas City BBQ Cook off. Good bands and alot of fun last year. FYI Fri. and Sat.

On your comments me and friend went to eat there Monday evening at about 6pm. There were posted hours on the door of 10:30 till 9pm. The door was locked and nobody was there. Two other carloads of folks tried at the same time. No matter how good it is, if you aren't open during your posted hours, you won't be around long. We drove out expecting that they may not be open on Monday, but according to the posted hours they should have been. We did like the Price Cutters place though. Bought a few incidentals there.
