is SOOOOO screwed up. If this year isn't enough to force a playoff system, I'm not sure it will ever happen. I'm glad to see 1 and 2 go down (they were over rated) but Oklahoma, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State, Hawaii, and a few other teams all deserve a shot at #1.......I'm guessing Ohio State is in, but what are your guesses on who they will play; there is a lot of speculation that it won't be the Dawgs.

LSU vs. Ohio State
Although, UGA would beat Ohio State too.
How do you not include the Conference Champion over another team within the same Conference?
Just my opinion.

My guess at the final BCS standings is 1. Ohio St. 2. LSU 3. Oklahoma 4. Georgia 5. VaTech 6. Kansas
Again, just a guess; I think Georgia and Kansas will lose points because they didn't win their conference championships (or even win their divisions) and I think most voters will jump LSU over VaTech based on LSU's decisive victory back in September.
Now IF there was a playoff, I think the final two teams standing would be Georgia and Oklahoma; nobody is playing any better than those two right now.

all the love for LSU. I know, I know, all the talent, yada, yada, yada. They lost 2 games to 2 mediocre teams. In adition, they could of lost to Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida and Auburn at their place at night. Then they beat a mediocre Tennessee team, barely, and now, once again, their in the title chase. Once again, it's all about the pre-season hype for the likes of LSU, Ohio State, etc. So, what do you do with Hawaii? BCS sux.

Hawaii still undefeated and probably won't get a shot at Sugar Bowl. The BCS should look at a playoff situation between the conferences like pro instead of this voting process. Then we might really see a true "national" championship instead of two teams in the same conference playing each other.......
And, Brennan deserves a real consideration for the Heisman....
Go Bo's!!!

I was right with you until they almost lost against 4 & 9 Washington last night (or was it this morning, LOL).
If they had even played the same schedule as Troy University and ended up 12 and 0, then you would of had all of us agreeing they needed to be number 1 in the Nation.
This is a lesson for their program, they need to develop a more challenging schedule to show their true strength during the season. Even if they loose a game or two, it will still make them a better team toward the end of the season.

It's not just pre-season. The same talking heads are proclaiming So Cal and Ga to be the two best teams right now which is why Ga is ranked 4th and never saw the SEC Championship game.

You're right. They're not going to jump a team over the conference champion so LSU is in. The sad thing is Ohio State is in and there are probably 6 teams in the SEC who could beat 'em.
Reminds me of all those years Nebraska rolled through the Big 8 undefeated, be ranked #1, then come to the Orange Bowl and lose 9 out of 10 times to faster, more athletic teams. Ohio State is the new Nebraska.
