When will they start dropping the lake level (if they are planning such) to provide a level that will avoid downstream flooding, should we get massive rain? As much as we want to see a full pool, does anyone see this as a problem?

I dont believe that will happen. The intent is to be at full pool by April 1st. That is just over a week away. I suspect they will even start to raise Harris once we get there.

Lots of lessons have been learned over the past year.

The Tallapoosa River remains very low. It will have to rain for a very long time for flooding to be a problem. Also, between April 1 and early May, Harris dam upstream is schedule to rise 5 feet so there is still plenty of room to store lots of spring rains, if we get them.

They opened 1 Turbine this morning at 10:00 but I imagine there is plenty still draining in after yesterday's rain.

Even with generating some power the last couple days the level is holding good. In fact the alabama power site shows Martin at 488.9 right now.
