They build a nice boat dock.

Expensive. But nice.

Then again they're ALL expensive. I bet a dock costs 10-15k more now than just two years ago. Maybe more.

I would personally steer clear of Free State Boat Docks. We payed for a USED boat dock in Feb 07 and were told that we would have it installed within 2 weeks. After 3 weeks, no boat dock. Not one time were we called, every phone call was initiated by myself. After numerous excuses, and being told it would just be a couple of weeks ( we actually started keeping up with the number of times we were told this: 13) we NEARLY got our dock installed. I say nearly, because after telling Free State numerous times that the water was dropping rapidly because of the drought and APCO and that the water would be too low,,,,,,they got within 20 ft of my walkway and the dock ran aground. So there it sat, 20 feet away. On top of all this, the only reason we knew that it had ARRIVED was because we happen to be at our lot a few days after they brought it. Not one person had called to even let us know that it is there or to give any explanation. I was hoping that in the spring when the water came back up they would finish the job, but after the water came back up, I waited for two weeks before hooking up my dock myself. Had I not gotten a used dock at a good price I wouldnt have dealt with Free State. When I do buy new in a few years , It wont be from them.Very unprofessional and not very trustworthy.

The house I purchased had a Free State Boat Dock. The dock is now 8 years old. I really like it. Really good construction. I live in a heavy wake area, and the dock rolls well with the wakes. Never had any welding breaks of loosed screws (except for my in-laws of course). Based on my experience, I'd buy another one from them, ...although I hope I never have to.
