Since you all collectively (same person) believe that higher income people should be taxed more (your post on trickle down), even though the bottom 70% of wage earners only pay 2.9% of all taxes today and the top 30% pay 97.1%. If you go up the ladder even more and focus on the top 5% or even top 1% they already pay the majority of taxes.

So my question is, what percentage of income do you feel an individual should pay and if you want to break it down by income level you can do that.

Keep in mind that the wealthy create jobs and are the biggest consumers and investors which also creates jobs for others.

You're wrong; I am not either of those other posters, no matter how much you wish it to be true.

In fact, I'm going to play your game: prove it. Give me one shred of evidence, other than your incorrect gut feeling, that the three of us are actually one person. Documented proof, just like you want every time someone disagrees with one of your "facts." Come on, let's have it.

Well, unless we involve Bruce, which I am sure he has better things to do ... I would say the only evidence is the writing styles are exactly the same and there are the same words mispelled by all three. Additionally, the only time you see MythBuster and Hot Rod post is in support of GoneFishin.

I guess all that could be a coincident.

But how about a reply to the question posed. Since all three of you seem to feel that Obama's tax plans for redistribution of wealth is the way to go .... how about answering the simple question presented. What do you feel a fair percentage is, if today it is not enough, even though the majority of the tax burden is already on the top 30% of wage earners and the majority of that is in the top 5% and the majority of that is in the top 1%.

We are simply 3 wisemen who are driving you crazy with logic. I don't understand why It must be so hard for to understand that there is more than one poster who disagrees with your idioligy. You keep asking me about The Ridge. You bought a lot nearly 10 years ago.
But, as you say lots were not offered for sale until 2001. I rest my case.

10/7/2008

Water_ Watcher: But lots did not start being marketed for sale until 2001.

7/15/2008

Water_Watcher: Fortunately there is no other side ... just trees with no access ... that was part of the attraction for the lot when we bought it nearly 10 years ago.

Water_Watcher: I will tell you what ... if you can come up with $1.4 million you can buy my property.

lakerlady : Where is the property located that is for sale for 1.4 million.

I could explain the string you reference as what I said is 100% truthful, but you are frankly not worth the expanation since all you are trying to do is distract from yourself lying and being unwilling to admit it.

Now how about answering the question presented to you since you feel so strongly that higer income people should pay more than what they do today. How much more? What percentage of their income should the government take? What do you feel is fair and appropriate.

I always find it interesting that people want to jump on the band wagon and say ... yeah they make a lot of money they should pay more. But then will never say what percent of their income the government will take. They just want them to pay more, when they already pay 97% of all the taxes that go to the treasury from income. The bottom 70% pay less than 3% of the tax revenue. Should it be zero for the bottom 70% ? The bottom 40% already pay close to zero. Should the government start giving these people money in addition to not paying taxes by taking more away from the higher income individuals that are already paying 97%

I really am interested in your thoughts on this. You feel so strongly that upper income people do not pay enough, so I want to know what would be enough in your mind (in terms of percent).

What you state is already happening. It is called the Earned Income Tax Credit. Many millions of American taxpayers already get back MORE than what was withheld because of this rediculous program.

It is interesting that 40% of wage earners pay no federal income tax whatsoever. I wonder how the math wizard Obama is going to give a tax break to 95% of Americans since 40% pay no tax in the first place. I await GF, Tallula, etc. explanation of this one.

By the way, I already know the answer and that is he will give money to those that don't even pay taxes in the first place......quite a break.
