I just can't understand people and how they can embrace this man as it tells everyone he not only believes in socialism, but his main focus is to redistribute wealth to the black community.
I don't know about others, but there is not only equality in the hiring process for those that want a job, but the bias definitely tilts to minorities already.
The opportunity is there for ANY person that applies themself in school to succeed. Look at Obama himself. I came from a blue collar family. I was the first of a large family to go to college.
Someone needs to want to make something of their life. Throwing money at them without "earning" it by taking from others does not teach the pride of success and it is not what make our country great. That is what the american dream is all about.
How many immigrants do you see that came to this country for the "opportunity" and through their hard work they became successful. No one through money at them. They earned every penny.

Once again the mainstream media is AWOL on a huge story. Obama says spread the wealth to Joe the plumber. McCain and Palin accuse Obama as being a socialist. And there exists an audio tape proving he is indeed a socialist and the mainstream media is hiding the truth. I wish for once a Democrat had the guts to actually tell the American people what they really stand for. Instead they have to lie and obfuscate what they really believe in order to get elected.

Call me a capitalist, don't mind at all. Trickle down economist, still don't mind. Why can't Democrats stand to be labeled what they have become and are endorsing - socialists aka Marxists. Call a spade a spade. Admit and be proud of what you've become and you would at least have some of my respect. Trying to hide behind the mainstream media's protection is gutless and cowardly. If you've become a puppet to Moveon, Hollywood, DailyKos, DU, then take the heat, defend yourselves intelligently and let America make an honest choice between the two candidates.

What it really comes down to is they cannot get elected to national office without lying to the American people about what they believe. They get away with it because the mainstream media is dominated by fellow travelers on the road to socialism. An Obamination/Reid/Pelosi troika in charge of the government will do long-term damage to the prosperity of the country.

So according to Obama, redistribution and sharing of wealth is a basic issue of political and economical justice!?. Do you two honestly believe this or are you big enough to admit that you have been hoodwinked and are reconsidering who you support.

A typical liberal ... ignore the facts and stick your head in the sand.
You will most likely get your "liberal left wing socialist president". The same happened after Watergate and people voted in Carter .... who was not have as bad and liberal as Obama.
The economic crisis we are in was caused by the democrats liberal policies to increase sub prime mortages thinking they are helping lower income and minorities. But in reality they have now hurt them the most ... not only was their dream destroyed and lost their home, the economic downturn that will follow will impact them the most with lost jobs.
Liberals are well intended ... but they are just not very smart to understand the impact of their policies.
I am sure you have a good heart and think voting in Obama is the right thing, but his liberal policies and calls for socialism will do far more harm.
Those "rich" people he wants to tax more and redistribute their wealth .... they create jobs. They add capital that other people borrow that keeps interest rates low, they make investments in new plants and equipment that create the jobs for the disadvantaged. So when they are taxed more and they can't do that ... who is really hurt? The lower income people.
If they don't have a job, lowering their tax rate does not do much good now does it.
Carter had similar beliefs and we had 21% interest rates and double digit unemployment. So in 4 years the question will be asked, are you better today than 4 years ago.

I did. He himself was under attack for his policies, which he should have been. The recod is clear that sub primes started under Carter (Democrat) the Clinton administration pushed to greatly expand them (Democrat), many republicans including McCain warned of a pending crisis is reform and regulation is not put in place, they also warned that Fannie and Freddie could fail and that would create a ripple effect (which it did), all while the democrats like Pelosi, Waters, Frank, Reid all said there was no problem and that it was just an effort to eliminate "affordable" home ownership for minorities.
Yeah, you are informed .... either you are ignorant or you are blind by the truth.

And where do you see the Republican zeal for deregulation and lack of regulation of the credit swap market fitting in this? I know you love to blame the democratics for everything, but this is a pure bi-partisan fiasco. You can't point to any one party or any one adminstration for this. People made assumption and they turned out to be bad assumptions. I'm not sure I think this is a political issue anymore.

Not Political? In September, McCain was leading on the basis of reformed change, not Obama's change for the sake of wealth redistribution. Since then, the market has tanked 4000 points and lost 4-5 trillion in value. The economic downturn has had a major, unimaginable effect on the politics of today. And while you were mentioning Greenspan, did you notice WHO he was testifying too? It was the DEMOCRATIC controlled House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The committee that was drinking the Greenspan Kool-aid in an effort to keep the voters fat and happy. The lesson is frightening and clear. Greenspan was a God and nobody questioned him as long as everybody's 401K was gaining 10%/yr and home values were increasing yearly. This worship of Obama should be viewed just as the worship of Greenspan was. Sooner or later, reality sets in and we are left with cleaning up the mess. I just don't want my children to have to clean up the disaster of what Pelosi, Reid and Obama could do to this great country unchecked.
