Subject:   Undecided Break to McCain

Interesting piece by Dick Morris in The Hill. In his analysis he sees a huge break of undecided voters to McCain. He believes if the trend that has developed in early voting continues that McCain has a real chance to win the election. Apparently what the internals are showing is even those polls showing Obama with a 4%-5% lead that the undecided numbers are still in the 6%-9% range and that for the early voting they are going overwhelmingly to McCain. There is also growing evidence that many people who have polled for Obama are unable to pull the lever for him, particularly with the Jewish and Catholic vote.

TURNOUT IS THE KEY! If Obama gets the turnout from African Americans, the youth and hispanic vote he will be hard to beat. Again, the early voting results are not promising with the youth and hispanic voter turnout being more in line with historical averages.

If the possible BO supporters listen to him and take the day off of work to help get people to the polls, volunteer at the polling places, etc, as he suggested they do yesterday, then it is possible that those who otherwise would not go to the polls may
1) Get a ride from their buddies and go vote providing that they in fact do have jobs to vacate for the day
2) decide that it's perfectly OK for them to skip work and go to the polls to vote for their "idol"

Either way, it may be long lines at the fast food places, due to absenteeism.

that BO is just telling people to take off work. Basically forget about your employer and job, just take off work. Oh he cares so much for these people. Then he says go knock on doors and "get in peoples face". I just love how he talks about bridging the gap and he does not want politics as usual ... yet he seems to be the one that is creating the divide and pouring fuel on it.
