On my drive to work I passed three polling places and cars were parked along the roads. I live in Cobb County which is a very conservative, Republican county and in 20 years I can't remember this kind of turnout. Republicans go to the polls and prove those turnout forecasts to be wrong!

I came home Friday to vote early in Gwinnett County and waited 4 hours in a line that was probably no more than 5% McCain supporters. This was in Gwinnett County so, I think the Dems have finally got their base out to vote.

It will be dependent on the county and polling place so don't despair. The point is we can't control the turnout of those who will vote Democrat but we have to make sure it doesn't prevent us from turning out in droves. All the polls are based on projections of turnout ratios. If we do 1% better, our candidate does 1% better and so on. There is a systematic, concerted effort on the part of Dems and their sycophants in the media to dampen our turnout. If they success shame on us.

I live in Gwinnett and was there at 6:30 and there were long lines. After things opened it moved pretty quick. I was surprised to see "fewer" machines than in the past, but they were electronic. I did like that they required a picture ID and your address had to match the electronic on line machine they had to verify people. If it did not, then you were require to do a manual ballot that was "provisional" . They are saying voter turnout in Georgia could be over 90%.

Funny story. When I arrived it was dark and I saw a guy walking through the parking lot writing license plate numbers down for anyone that had a bumper sticker .... where i live they are mostly McCain stickers (although I do not believe in stickers for any candidate on my car). Then he gets on a bull horn and says that it is illegal to campagin withing 150 feet of the polling property and anyone with a bumber sticker must remove it or you car will be towed at your expense.

This is the first time I have ever seen that and everyone in line was saying how is the campagining? It is not like someone passing something out on the issues or debating.

if any of his cohorts were doing this in predominantly democratic polling locations. When I voted Friday, in a predominately democratic area, there was this dufus complianing about a Saxby Chambiss sign he felt was to close to the polling place. One of the volunteers had a tape measure and walked it off. It was 1 foot and 2 inches outside the mandatory "buffer" zone. T he dufus was extremely upset. What was funny was, an Obama supporter told his collegue to "get a life."

I live in a very small community and the voting location I vote at has only 312 registered voters, I voted at 7:30 this morning and was the 54th to vote...also the poll workers had to turn away two voters because they were not registered!!! It got a little ugly, but how can someone trying to elected THE LEADER OF THE MOST POWERFUL NATION IN THE WORLD no know they HAVE TO BE REGISTERED!!!! I swear, you should have to pass a test to have the honor of voting! I am praying and my fingers are crossed.

an d i heard on the news this morning a black guy that said he was 42 years old and this is the first time he has ever voted. He said he registered this year so he could help make history. There is that head wind. You have people that are voting for BO on the color of his skin and not what they feel is best. BO could say he was a communist or that he is going to destroy all manufacturing in the US (which he may) and you have these loony tunes like GF that would still vote for him.

This is very scary what could happen to this country in the next 4 years. If BO had half a brain he would realize getting more on the backs of business destroys jobs and forces more overseas. His big answer is he will give a temporay tax credit to business that bring jobs from overseas. What about businesses that are only here in america? What about industries like the coal industry that he "wants to bankrupt" .... his decisions hurt the people he wants to help the most.

And just handing out money to them like he wants to do is not the answer ... (most) people have pride and do not want a hand out. They want to earn it. So after he bankrupts the coal industry, where are those people in WV, PA, OH going to work? There are a high percent of people in those states (including manufactures that support the coal industry) that are going to lose their jobs? Do they pack up and leave the state?

I just do not get the way BO thinks and how people believe he plans on "helping" the middle class with this type of thinking.
