This is my first flood, so I don't understand somthing. How come when I look at all the lake levels it looks like we are taking the blow for everybody. Is this normal? I can't figure out if I'm not reading the charts right or if we are really taking on all the extra warter in the whole river. It looks like we are the only ones flooding. Someone help me out here because i'm kinda ticked. Did I pick the blacksheep of lakes in Alabama? I love Logan Martin but this stinks.

If you were here for the drought, then you have see the worst for the low levels, now we are on the opposite end of the spectrum with the flood. The flood being right on the heels of the drought may help people buying in the near future what they are in store for. I'll take the good with the bad. I call it home. The lake : my backyard. never a dull moment. D

Our lake is a holding "pond" for the power company. If the power company lakes up stream are allowed to flood, the entire city of Gadsden would flood as it has in the past. This is not the worst flood we have had and after the years of drought, I am glad to have water in the holding "pond".

My questions is, will they take the level back down to 460ish after everything settles?

Yes, ultimately back to 460 until next big rain. Will begin to raise in March.

No, with our luck they will keep it a 465 so we cannot repair our peirs and boathouses.
