on the spending bill that's being debated.........the country is missing some of the old giants of the House and Senate.......Even moderate Senators are disgusted with the hurry up and pass this today approach, and look like they're ready to throw up their hands........I see failure in leadership at the Prez, Senate and House levels to craft a reasonable bill......the Prez fumbled when he didn't send HIS bill to the House to be the starting point.......Pelosi could give a rat'a @$$ about a republican vote.......Reid has lost control of the Senate process.......Why would the Prez go to the Democratic only caucus tonight for a red meat prime time speech that does nothing but bait and goad R's while debate is going on live back at the Senate??.......These appear to be rookie mistakes in the main........Hope our (US)adversaries don't pay much attention to this stumbling around and misjudge our noisy representative republic for weakness.

That is why a one party rule has not worked. even though they can get what they want, if the other party does not go along then the party in charge gets fearful of failure and then booted out. Clinton did not get anything done in his first 2 years. Then when the republicans took over both houses of congress he got much more done even with all the head butting and complaining. Because a more moderate bill is hammered out and then you get support from both parties. If Obama wants republican support he need need to listen and move much more to the center, otherwise he and his liberals are out there on their own and own failure.

In fact , there may be seeds in this that can bring about a divided gov't in the mid-term elections in 2010. That is my hope........just don't like an all powerful gov't that has no respect for where the money comes from to fund some of the waste that is marbled thruout this bill. Same goes for R's or D's.
