She was caught in a fabrication so we won't hear back until she is ready for another drive-by fact-free comment.

proving that once again Lady, like most liberals, believes and says what just isn't true.
Damage, theft, vandalism, and pranks did occur in the White House complex during the 2001 presidential transition. Multiple people said that, at the beginning of the Bush administration, they observed (1) many offices that were messy, disheveled, or contained excessive trash or personal items; (2) numerous prank signs, printed materials, stickers, and written messages that were left behind, some of which contained derogatory and offensive statements about the president; (3) government property that was damaged, including computer keyboards with missing or damaged “W” keys and broken furniture; and (4) items that were missing, such as office signs, a presidential seal, cellular telephones, doorknobs, and telephone number labels. In addition, documentation provided indicated that some broken, missing, or possibly stolen items were repaired or replaced at the beginning of the Bush administration. Several EOP staff said they believed that what they observed during the transition, such as broken furniture and excessive trash left behind, was done intentionally.
Liberals, no class, no facts and no honesty.........

Without belaboring the issue, here is the truth and nothing but the truth. It sounds more like fraternity stuff rather than major criminal activity. As to its historical significance of White house crimes, it would appear to fit between Watergate and Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq.
The final, official report from the Government Accounting Office was released on June 11, 2002. The 220 page document says there was damage, although not as much as some of the early reports had suggested. The GAO says the damage included 62 missing computer keyboards, 26 cell phones, two cameras, ten antique doorknobs and several presidential medallions and office signs. The damage estimate was about $20,000.
Lady just needs to fess up and say the truth is the truth and we can live to fight another Forum thread for all the People.

or maybe Travelgate or Vince Foster, lost records later found with finger prints, what is the definition of "is", Rose law Firm, or I did not have sexual relations with that woman, oral sex is not sex ... yeah, you are right .... it does kind of fit in with the overall class of the clinton adminsistration

Can you also get with the program of and stop spreading lies. The intell on Iraq, while not 100% accurate, it was the same that Clinton had. Also it was the British intell that provided that Iraq had purchased Yellow Cake Uranium from Africa and could be enriched in to nuclear weapons and dirty bombs.
Yes it took a while to locate, but it was. and because of the class of the Bush administration the removal from Iraq was done very quitely to prevent it getting in Irans hands.
Even liberal MSNBC reported it. I knew if i posted the Fox article the liberals would bash it.

WW takes it a bit to the extreme and I think you both missed my point, or I was not clear in the post.. Not an issue of magnitude of the offense, just a lack of dignity and respect fot the Office.. These 'fraternity pranks' were real as GAO documents, so saying it was fabricated ignores the facts. But the main point is that they were done by adults entrusted with the office of the presidency and paid by our tax dollars.. I found it offensive but have got past it.. Contrast it with the Bush/Obama transition.. Get my drift?? (Hound might even agree with me on this one.)

I do agree with you. I have to give Bush a lot of credit for the way he handled the transitiion and the way he has handled the post Presidency. He's acted with a lot of dignity and been gracious. I've always read that in person he is very gracious and charming. I think the Clintons and their staff acted like a bunch of juvenile delinquents. I knew some people that worked at the WH during the first years of the Bush Admninistration, so I knew for sure about the mess they left behind. Of course, Clinton acted like a complete idiot and made a mockery of the Presidency. Many people come from a poor background and rise to overcome it, but I don't think Clinton ever did. Even now, it appears to me that he relishes every bit of attention he gets. While I don't usually agree with her politics, there is no denying that Hilary is a smart woman, but she certainly has a blind spot when it comes to him.

Hillary is VERY intelligent, and it is not that she has a “blind spot” when it comes to Bill – she is the preeminent politician, and concerned with her future, not their relationship.

GF, no one is debating the magnitude of what they did although I am struggling with your characterization of "fraternity pranks" as if this is Phi Kappa Psi and not the White House. If these pranks don't bother you immensely then indeed the Clinton's did a fine job of demeaning the Presidency which used to be called the most important job in the world.
But more to the point, regardless of the magnitude of the pranks, it demonstrated that Lady cannot be considered an honest purveyor of the truth. She will simply say anything no matter how absurd or fact free to make a point. The actions of those that left the White House speaks volumes about their lack of character and Lady's post reminds us that when it comes to her, believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.....which is good advice under any circumstances.

Former Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia asked the GAO to investigate and one has to wonder the cost to taxpayers. The GAO interviewed 78 Bush and 72 Clinton aides. Bernard Ungar, who was in charge of the investigation, said one GAO employee worked on it full-time for about nine months. The investigation was thorough but a complete waste of taxpayers money. Other that the DITTO crowd making it out to be a serious abuse of power, it probably led to Bob Barr's defeat in 2002 by the good people of Georgia.
I am sure Lady is just having a bad hair day.

The facts are it had nothing to do with Barr's defeat.........he got caught in a squeeze play in the last re-apportionment and had to run in a new district against a very strong well entrenched Republican congressman. He never forgave the R's for putting him in that position...........that is why he ran as an independant for Pres last go round........out of spite.

for beating me to the punch. Barr got screwed when they changed his district and has never been the same. The good people of Georgia didn't turn him out. He would still be there if they hadn't reapportioned the way they did and sacrifice him. What he has done since then has not been pretty but I can understand his anger.
