Most of these forums seem DOA except for Sports and Jokes.

There seems to be little interest in keeping these up and what's more troubling is the fishing reports that

are available, appear to be somewhat "commercial" in nature and out of date by a week or so at the very least.

To me, a 1 week old fishing report is about as useful as a month old weather report.

I live on the lake and I should post more often but then I haven't been fishing for a month or more.

Thanks for the reply,Scottie.....I think you hit it pretty much spot on.........plenty of political commentary too.

We've been here at the lake for a few months but I haven't been fishing much...too many irons in the fire.

I do have an old boat fixed up pretty well and was kind of waiting for the weather to cool down a bit.I don't do extreme temps very well.

I'd love to catch a couple big stripers!

I apologize for the late update.  (Following forum decorum I suppose)

Around August 22nd, there was an open catfish tournament on the lake.  12# won it.  From comments I heard the fishing was

horrible.  Pretty much the same as the bass fishing too.

On August 28th I fished from around 6 AM to 11 AM.  We put 4 bass in the boat fishing stump beds in about 6' of water.

That same weekend there was a bass tournament, I asked 3 different boaters how the fishing was and all said SLOW.

The water temperature was 87 so I thing we are a bit ahead of ourselves for the fall feeding frenzy.  I'll give it another try later

in September.
