Smart but probably unnecessary. Ian headed to the east and I am thinking Lake Martin will get very little rain at this point.

Going down due to lack of rain. They are allowed to fluctuate between the FloodControl (High water mark) and Operating curve (Low Water Mark). Operating curve starts dropping in July - Flood Control curve starts dropping in Sept 1 or Oct15 depending on the CFE. So technically, even with the CFE in place, water level could be as low as 486.5 on Oct 15th.
