Did you get the pink pig? There was a place on 231 over in Wetumpka that used to have the pig outside and I always coveted that pig.

I've looked at these and they are a good product; wouldn't mind having one myself..... Are you ready for a complete challenge?
1. Steaks 2. Smoking..... Butt/ pork tenderloin/ baby back ribs/ brisket/ etc 3 .Pizza 4. Salmon/ fish/ sea food 5. ABT's, stuffed peppers, and other appetizers 6. Beer can chicken 7. Cakes and brownies 8. Roasted veggies
I'm up for more categories....

Can't sear a steak on a traeger.....Also, the egg can get much hotter for a fire oven baked pizza. The Traeger is excellent for ease of use though, and is great for those who want to dial up a temperature for slow smokin' and come back later. Below is a link to a grilling forum I visit where both are discussed.

As a judge I should be appalled that I would be offered a bribe, but I'm not :-). Ulysses, perhaps a counter offer? Let the bidding begin!

shouldn't there be a category of volume cooked?
IMO, no one that has any sense would fault the BGE's prowess on small batches, say, 1 butt, or 2 cooked at a time.
But when you get serious about it, one will find oneself cooking for a crowd. Say, 4 butts, 6 slabs of ribs, 2 chickens, and a few apps, AT THE SAME TIME. Again, only my opinion, but I think this is where the BGE shows weakness.
Then again, the argument can be made, why should I buy a smoker large enough for the 3 or 4 times a year I would cook that much at once? Herein lay the fodder for much debate around the grills........

The XL pretty much solves the issue of room....I can cook up a feast for many on it.

I have gone with what I would use most times. Got about 1000 sq, in grill. Few times I need more, just muddle thru it best I can.

Call me in about 8 years and we'll compare. My egg cooks the same today as the day I bought it...in 2003. Nothing is rusted, no motors are broken, no moving parts to deal with and I can sear a steak at 600 if I want or go 225 all day/night!
See you in 2019! I am sure my egg will be ready!
Just sayin'

How long does a 20 lb bag of pellets last? They are kind of proud of them.
