Need help! My 2007 optimax has been at a local Marina for 4 weeks now. They have done a great job communicating with me throught the time they have had my boat but I was told last Fridat that they have gone as far as they could with it. That being said, its not fixed.

It was put in the shop because it was hard to crank, the motor would drop RPM when the tirm was used on plane and it would only get to WOT first thing in the morning. They told me a few injectors were bad and actually found a couple of used ones to put in it, still they could not get it to crank up. They took the injectors off my motor and put on a diffrent Opti and it cranked right up.

Anyone recommend someone around the lake with Opti knowledge? If something bad wrong with it, I want to knwo so I can start shopping a new outboard.

Hands down, my favorite engine is a Merc optimax. It's probably the diaphram between the Air and Fuel ports in the injector rail.  Get it to me TODAY, and I will get it back to you this weekend.  We have all the software and tools needed to make the repair.  They are somewhat complicated engines, so don't hold it against your current shop.

I wish I could! I'm in Atlanta and wont be down till Friday and then are headed to Orange Beach for the week. Could I drop it off with you this coming Saturday (7-25-15) on my way South and you could have it for the week. If it was ready, I could pick up on my way back through on (8-1-15).

Your boat is ready sir.  You had a bad seal inside the VST canister.  It was making fuel pressure inside the VST tank, and sending air into the fuel rail.  Runs like a dream now.

Picked it up on Saturday and its running GREAT!! I'll look no further for any Optimax repairs from here on out!
