was one of the shooters.  According to press reports of yesterday's hearing, the 23 year old that was a "victim" was found in a ski mask and had a 44 laying on his chest (as if someone was leaving a message)

Another of the victims had a gun, but it wasn't fired.  

89 shell cases. A relatively small room with 50-60 people in it, 7 guns- at least one of which had been modified for automatic fire- of various calibers, one exit.  Most of the victims were by the front door, athough most of the shell casing were found in the back right corner.  Did someone move the victims?  

No wonder that so many of the injured were shot multiple times.

Interesting development.  Sounds like this party was attended by a lot of armed teenagers and young adults as someone must have been firing back.  Probably explains the slow release of information as I am guessing the one or more that returned fire did so with illegal guns or they were not allowed to carry.  Inner city I would expect something like this, Dadeville not so much.  Our culture is a total train wreck.

I was suspicious of the 4th deceased all along.  They waited a lot longer to give a name for him.  The story on him was that he came in late to help out a family member, which apprently he got that younger member out.  But all reports were that the shooting started soon after he got there.  So that is why I guessed during out initial thread that the 4th guy may have fired the first shot.  And indeed that was suggested in the court hearing yesterday.  I did not anticipate a ski mask, however, but that sorta seals the deal.

Now, did he kill anyone or did he get shot early on.  And will ballistics be able to determine whose gun killed who, or wounded who.

The report was that the six defendants (and I think Holston should be the 7th) were somewhat related and were not invited to the party but knew it was happening, and knew some of those attending.  Also, reported that the 6 defendants met in a Tallassee parking lot after the shooting.  One guy had an ankle brace so police knew where he was the whole time.

I agree a crazy happening for Dadeville.  Much more to come I am sure.

I saw that about the ankle bracelet.  Did you see that one of the family members of the accused claimed they were being railroaded - claimed they were into athletics and headed for college?  Whatever he was engaged with, I guess he was just doing it to save for college.  Why is it that anyone who gets in serious trouble is always just a really good person?  

Like you, I thought that "victim" might have something to do with the shooting right from the start?  You notice that not much was said about him at all?  And his funeral came and went almost without notice.

mm the 23 year old from opelika was caalled to come there for his sister. a hit was put on him for theft of large amount of drug money. all the shooters were waiting for him to arrive. yes he had a hoodie on to mask his face for fear of being shot. all 6 of the shooters were sent by the drug king pin.the gun left on the 23 year old chest was a signal to others about drug theft.all this was known by alit of party goers. shooters at back and shooters in the front as well as inside. this was a drug hit, not some crazy kid with a gun. there were alot of guns there because of what was going to happen.
