Did everyone have a good weekend?

It was nice not worrying about the lake level as much as the week before.

Did anyone here attend the houseboat parties on school bus island? I did not but it was a pretty sight.

I am new to the lake boating. We camp at Logan Martin and have a 18 ft bayliner. We haven't been able to launch all month. Any suggestions as to where the closest launch would be?

When you say camping at Logan Martin, what campground?

Lakeside Landing has camping and boat launch. others on here will probably be able to direct you some on the Riverside/Stemley Bridge end but I use use or have used Clear Creek, Lakeside Landiing and the old Marina Bay launch.

Yeah, surprising the levels came up and maintained all week. Looks like they are headed back down again today though.

Chris,
I came over your way this weekend. I saw three pontoons tied at one pier. Thought one might be yours. I came over on Seadoos. I'm leary of the water levels.

Two intersting things happened this weekend -
Watched a helicopter land on what i had thought was a pier. After seeing in come and go several different days i guess it's just another toy. It must be nice.

Saw a pontoon which i guess wasn't tied down thrown off a trailer down by clear creek. Not so nice.

we camp at Logan Martin Camp Ground off Paul Bear Bryant Road. The water in that cove is only 3 or 4 feet deep. I was wondering if the water would be deeper at the Poor House Marina?

We've noticed that helicopter this summer too. Nice new toy at that new house. I guess the drive from B'ham is just too long. :-)

I'm at the absolute end of Stemley cove. You can get almost all the way back in a pontoon if you run the prop up to just below water level and putts in there. When you come in it kind of has 3 forks, we're the middle one so to speak. White A frame in back corner. Pontoon is at neighbors dock with beige cover on it.

Sorry we put in on the opposite end. We travel to that end but have no idea about putting in past Logan Martin Landing.

Good luck and watch this board, we hope to get everyone together at some point, hopefully not on a dry lake bed,

FYI, it is our first year on the lake too.

Poor house does have more water to launch in.
