Biden took a break from his very busy vacation schedule to tell people he cares.  Donned in the traditional "I'm hear to help" uniform of politicians - "sincere" blue shirt with the cuffs rolled back - he proceeded to make the story all about him- about how he lost his wife in a car accident and how a small kitchen fire in his home many years ago, gave him the empathy he needed to understand their losses.  He couldn't speak straight, he stood at one point with his mouth open staring, until a fellow Democrat asked him if he needed water and herded him off the stage.  Upon his arrival, Biden commented how hot the ground was.... what an astute observation!  He did a flyover the devastation and viewed a couple of burned out cars.  With that, he hopped back on his plane and headed back to his vacation at his billionaire climate donors vacation home in Lake Tahoe.  He and Jill went al the way to Hawaii, and all they got was criticism and a lousy lei.

He also fell asleep during a meeting with victims.  The whole nonsense that a President has to rush to the scene of some natural disaster is just that, nonsense.  What people impacted by these storms isn't a phot op with some politician.  They need financial assistance, access to housing, food and clothing and the resources to rebuild their lives as quickly as possible.  

So in my mind he deserved the criticism for his initially saying nothing.....probably because he knew nothing about the fires because he has dementia....then his awful "no comment" because he was probably told about the fires but not what to say and sending them a lousy $700 (which is not even enough to pay off the debt we have wracked up sending hundreds of billions to Ukraine).  But they were right that it was a distraction for him to go there and fumble around like the doddering old senile fool that he is just like Bush was right not to land in New Orleans....which of course the leftist govt media went wall to wall criticizing him for it.  Of course for the govt media with Brandon it is (D)ifferent.

When idiots try to claim the govt media isn't comprised of leftists this is yet another example.  Bush during Katrina quickly flew over New Orleans and it was wall to wall wailing about he doesn't care.  After Maui, Brandon goes on a two-week beach vacation followed by a Lake Tahoe vacation followed by a quick trip for a multitude of senile gaffes and blatant lies and nary a word of concern or criticism from aBS, cBS, nBS, et al. 

They are the enemy of the people.

there is the video of Biden dozing during the lunch with victims.  Snopes and the WH claim that it is a Republican conspiracy to say he is dozing and that it just isn't true.  But, I've seen about 5 different clips and he is definitely snoozing - if not actually asleep, he is definitely phased out.  Must have been really gratifying to those victims to know that their stories were puting the President of the United States to sleep.
