Me and Mountain Man are gonna try for sqealers tomorrow up around Camp ASCA. Haven't done much catfishing on LM, as I've usually always concentrated on stripes, but want to target cats this year. I've got cut up hotdogs soaking in menhaden oil, worms, and will take a fresh redhorse sucker provided by Deckhand for cut bait. I plan on drift fishing using Santee Cooper rigs. I'll report back on how we do. How do the rest of you catch cats on LM?

Hello all, first off I have been enjoying your fishing forum discussions for a few years. I am appreciative of your knowledge as it has helped me become familiar with the lake, thank you. I have set up this account today so excuse my inexperience in using the forum. I have a catfishing tip for you, On the west bank of Goat Island you will find goat trails along the bank. Not all food thrown to the goats make the bank and you can imagine what lies beneath ready to take advantage of an easy meal. Look for submerged rocky areas and bounce nightcrawlers around them.
