Thought i would try manoy area, have not been there for a while. water temp 61-62 deg. concentrated on areas near creek, fish were deep early during clear skies. lpicked up a few with crank baits trolling the edge of creek. there was more bait than i have seen in a while. Caught a few straglers with spoons and bite really turned on after the cloud cover came. Fish moved up on a point in 35 feet of water and i commenced to whach em till around noon. made a spoon color change, went to a white shad colored 1 oz one and it proved to be a good move. Another tip, if you have rod holders and are on a school, drop another spoon down while working the other one. and let it sit. When the school gets fired up, I usually get bonus fish this way, but it does get hectic at times.
tight lines

Too bad the lake will not support Rainbow Trout over the summer. They would really fatten up the spots and stripes.

with blue backs being found in the lake they could be getting fatter on them instead of trout

I hope they catch the folks responsible for putting the bluebacks in the lake.
