I am at the lake evacuated from the hurrcane, waiting to return home with my 3 yr old grandson when we have a place to stay. I have my 4 dogs with me and will not be able to take them home, as I have no place for them.

I have 2 MinPins and 2 Yorkies. I think I have the MinPins placed.

Would anyone be interested in taking the two yorkies? 2 males, brothers, neutered, 5 years old. One about 8 pounds and one about 12 pounds.

The little one takes medication for seizures which are fully controlled. He is a very close lap type dog who loves to be inside. He is a little fiesty and is nervous around kids.

The bigger one is healthy, lovable and likes to be outside as well as inside. They would need a fenced yard as they tend to roam when outside. Good with kids. Shots are up to date.

My heart is broken, but I have to do this out of compassion for the dogs.

My home and business were flooded, as well as several family members' homes. I just have no place to deal with 4 little dogs.

I would gladly take them for as long as necessary, but I'm in an apartment in downtown Auburn, and the realty fines big time for pets. I can talk to them and tell them the circumstances, and maybe they'll temporarily waive the rule. However, there is no yard for them to stretch their legs, but if I can get it ok'd by the realty, it would be better than nothing, unless someone else steps up to help. -chase

Thanks, chaseman. That would be an impossible situation for them. I believe I have found someone in Montgomery to take them. This could be a long term thing.

If you get in a jam and can't find a place for them, send me an e-mail. We have a Yorkie, and could probably babysit for awhile. We also have several friends who I believe would help.....all with big homes and yards. I can probably find a nice family for the long term if that is what you need.

Sorry to hear about your losses. Our prayers go out to you and the many others who lost so much.
