Just a thought:
I takes 27,154 gallons of water to add 1' of rain per acre Lake Martin is approximately 40,000 acres.
To Raise the Lake Martin water level 1" takes 1,086,160,000 gallons of water.
There are 12 inches in 1 foot.
It takes 1,086,160,000 * 12 inches = 13,033,920,000 gallons of water to raise lake martin 1 ft.
Since Lake Martin Full and Low pools fluctuate 10 ft. annually you would take:
13,033,920,000 times 10 feet = 1,303,392,000,000
It will take 1,303,392,000,000 to raise lake martin to full pool.
After all of this talk of water . . . I have to go to the bathroom . . .

Well, a lot of those gallons are falling from the sky right now, and it's starting to fill. My floating dock reached "lift off" yesterday.

Pike: This is interesting info. I am alittle confused. You say it takes 27,154 gallons to add 1' (foot) of rain per acre. I assume you meant that to be 1" (inch)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I takes 27,154 gallons of water to add 1' of rain per acre Lake Martin is approximately 40,000 acres.
To Raise the Lake Martin water level 1" takes 1,086,160,000 gallons of water."
