I know all of us love the sight of a deer in the wild. I know some love deer hunting. I know some hate deer for eating their plants. I also know some hate deer because of vehicle accident experiences (Where are you Bigfoot?).
Anyway, I think all will enjoy this link.

AMAZING AND VERY AWESOME!!!!!! Thanks for sharing that link. I understand the mixed emotions!!!! They are beautiful animals but everyday, coming home from work, I pray one doesn't run out in front of me. Deer Hunters, I also understand why you do it. I just personally couldn't pull a trigger on such a beautiful animal. Rhonda

Thanks for the link, Feb. I enjoyed the pics and I really do not hate deer but, unfortunately, the deer population can be a real problem for many and now do not oppose deer hunting. I could not shoot one....can not even stand to see one being shot on tv. I surf through the hunting channels real fast to avoid seeing a kill. I understand that the increasing coyote and wild dog population around the lake may be taking a toll on the deer population by attacking and killing the young. My wife and I bought some land along Co. Rd. 34 to keep in its natural state and provide a habitat for the wildlife. The manner in which this peninsula is being stripped of vegetation is appalling in regard to the impact it has on the wildlife, soil erosion, and natural beauty of the landscape.

Here is a link to my NWF habitat site. Those travelling 34 will probably recognize the area.

The pictures were fantastic! However, I was a hunter for over 40 years, mostly because I really enjoyed the outdoors and seeing the wildlife but I, too really don't want to shoot anything anymore. That is, unless the deer are eating my plants and destroying all the work (and money that I have spent). I would like to caution people who try to make pets out of these animals, as these pictures indicate. Deer, particularly bucks, can be dangerous during "rut" or mating season. There have been many cases of being attacked during this time, especially when you might be between the buck and a possible "lady friend". I really don't want someone to get hurt just for trying to be nice. After all, deer are wild animals. It is best to leave them alone.
