Does anybody out there know the official name for the reed-like grass that grows so thickly around our lake / river?

I asume you want to get rid of it. My brother in law uses an underwater weedeater of some sort to clear it from around his pier.

I USE A LAKE RAKE AROUND MY PIER..YOU CAN GET EM' FROM OVERTONS..THEY COME RIGHT UP, BUT THEY GROW BACK IN ABOUT A MONTH..
