A common review by a common man. Disclaimer: Following text is not endorsed and in no way reflects the views of management of this forum. Snobs and elitists need not read as this review is for common people who do not like spending $30 on an entree and go away hungry. Christopher's The wardon and I ambled over to this establishment at about 10:45 on Sunday to partake in their Brunch. First of all, when we think brunch, we mostly think Breakfast items. This is not the case with this Brunch. It is more heavily geared towards lunch thus, now being aware of this fact, we will probably go a little bit later in the day in the future. We were very pleasantly surprised; I guess because of the last place located there, for some reason, we didn't expect much. There were stir-fried veggies, squash casserole, crab salad, pasta salad, collards, etc. and then the good stuff. Fried chicken, stroganoff(sp?), pork loin in a brown gravy with mushrooms, Salmon, and a beef cutting station. Breakfast items included scrambled eggs, bacon, link sausage and grits. As I mentioned, go for lunch, not breakfast. Desserts included, blueberry cobbler, banana pudding, a delicious chocalte cake and..... drumbeat please.... Blue Bell ice cream on request. All this for about $15 a plate(or plates, plural, in my case). The service, even though it was a buffet, was friendly, timely and overall, just a great experience. We were informed of their Saturday night Seafood Buffet($22 a plate) that includes Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Red Snapper, gumbo, clam chowder, etc. Sounded great but, I explained, I can only do 1 buffet a day. After this ringing endorsement, I fully expect Christopher's to advertise on this forum. Next up: Arbies in Tiger Town. The Common Man, Signing Off.

Used to be The Cove. Right across the bridge from Blue Creek Marina on 49.

thanks ... i did not know the cove was sold or closed. I would have bought it. I have a concept for the lake that I know will work. Maybe in a few years when I retire.

I think the people who owned The Cove still own the property, and they lease it to Christopher's. I could be wrong, but that's what I have heard.

Thanks lamont. We have also been there for the Breakfast brunch. I agree it seemed oriented toward a lunch event; although we were there later and thought maybe the food lay-out had changed.
I also noticed as we were leaving the sign advertising the Sunday evening seafood buffet. As you, we had alread bit off all we could chew (pun intended) for the Sunday we were there.
It would be nice to hear a review of the Sunday evening Seafood Buffet.
