About AquaPaloosa, epecially the safety issue. I don't go to the July 4 show because I don't want to die, and I expected the same for Aquapoo. Wrong, again.
Against my better judgement, my wife and sister decided we would go. We did, and it was a huge success for me, the sceptic.
We anchored well back from the stage, out of traffic, in more shallow water. Good view of the stage in front and boatramp staging area for the MP boats, and watched them escort 3 males and 1 female, in handcuffs, off a patrol boat into a Trooper car for a short ride to jail.
Everybody, everybody, was idling thru. AMAZING!! Slow and smooth. Launch after the concert was the same, slow and smooth while in congested areas. Then, a race to home base, easily avoided by waiting maybe 10 minutes.
The event was very enjoyable to LM boaters of all ages. Thank you MP for controlling an explosive crowd of boaters.

My kudos are to our Lake Martin forum members for the BEST information about this tremendous event. Webmaster headed up the informal effort with early info and pictures, LM Forum Facebook members gave us an almost minute by minute update of activity, the fly-overs pictures were great, and then the video(s) from NC keep us flooding the forum server for more. Thanks to all for the coverage. CMT can only hope they covered the event as well.
