I know we've all complained now or then about wireless coverage on the lake, but seriously did something happen to drastically affect the coverage in the Holiday Shores area? Perhaps some of the damage from the storms last year or this?
In the past I've been able to get decent signal/speed on a VZW aircard with laptop, but for the last couple weeks it is slooooowwwwww with frequent disconnects. 3G coverage on iPad or phone even worse, it's like being in some weird time warp. Hell, I'd be happy if I could just go back to dial up as bad as this is.
System just overloaded in the area with increased use? Something amiss in their coverage network? I should just learn to live in the dark ages again?

OMG...it is horrible and has not been going on very long, maybe a few weeks. Until then I had great coverage on the Verizon card. Now it is cycling between about 10% of the speed of dial up to almost as good as dial up. I was wondering about sun spots or the heat or anything else, however illogical that might be causing the problem. I was wondering if I am the only one so maybe now a call to Verizon might help because something has changed. Also, it is not the signal as it is strong as ever it is the download speeds, it's like the pipe is clogged.

Bob -- you are correct need to call Verizon tech support and have a trouble ticket issued. Had the same issue about 7 months ago and took several calls to Verizon they finally sent someone out to check the hardware. Guess they finally found an issue as matter has been resolved.

Maverick - you happen to recall what number or group was your point of entry? Tried their general customer service number and they were less than helpful but assured me they would have someone look into it. The e-mail reply I got to a request via that venue was even less helpful, basically assured me that there were no reported outages in the area.
Yeah, pure genius.
