why don't you ever see adults on the tubes?

I've never done it myself, no one to drive the boat for me. But, I'm thinking, a little increased speed, and I'd like it.

Hey Tivo....

I like tubing!!

It was fun as a kid and still fun as an adult.

Just don't get around to tubing like I used to.....but it's still a blast! : )

Adults do it...just not as many as the kids...so the reason you dont see them is cuz they are on the other side of the lake....No one on the west side would be caught dead 'tubing'...

in fact when we were shopping for our house, I made the comment to a realtor, the people living in this cabin have a much better time than the people living in that mansion when down here.

Well, I think this goes back to "experience"...lol We, as adults, sometimes forget and get back on the tube, only to have our "better half", also known as DRIVER, take out all of her recent frustrations on the tube...which just so happens to have before mentioned...ummm...ME...on it! The kids love it, the people on the other boats love it, but you will remember for a few years not to get back on the tube!! lol So, I think it boils down to...adults only ride the tube about every 3 years...(2 years as we get older and our memory gets shorter!) Just my opinion!

You nailed it! It has been about 3 years since I last ventured out on the tube. It's funny how your wife does a great job driving when you are skiing or wakeboarding. But when you are on the tube, she loses control of the boat! Yep, another 3 years ought to do it for me.

I've done it a few times with the kids....fun and not as tough on my 40+ YO bones. Only problem I encountered was riding while wearing sunglasses and holding a 'cold one...the wife slung me across the wake...donated yet another pair of glasses to the lake gods (but held on to the Bud!). I'm slow, but learning my lesson.

I got behind a boat about 10 weeks ago. Like to have killed myself. Kids said I got air. My back is still not right . Had lots of fun till I could not make it into work for about a week. Wife still has things to say about that tubeing ride. You want to go I will pull you but not getting on any more tubes . Have a lake day.
