Mobile man drowns at Lake Martin during storm

WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) — Emergency officials in Alabama attributed a drowning death to Tropical Storm Fay, after a man swimming on Lake Martin in rough conditions disappeared and drowned.

Family members told Elmore County authorities that the 33-year-old man drowned Saturday on Lake Martin, near Dopson's Point, shortly before 5 p.m.

The body was recovered Sunday morning.

The victim lived in Mobile County and was visiting family at the lake near Montgomery. His name is not yet released
